The ABM HELIOS-5X is a 5-axis CNC tool grinder designed for the precision production and regrinding of cutting tools from Ø3–20 mm (Ø0.12"–0.79"). Engineered for accuracy, productivity, and flexible operation, the HELIOS-5X delivers its highest performance when processing tools up to Ø20 mm. The machine features two separate grinding spindles, BECKHOFF absolute motors, an electronic probe for automatic tool detection and positioning, and a 21.5" touchscreen with industrial PC. The standard Basic Tool Studio software includes programming for end mills, while optional software packages expand capabilities for drills, profile tools, burrs, routers, reamers, and other specialized cutting tools. An ergonomic, oil-tight enclosure provides convenient access to the working area and supports efficient day-to-day operation.
